3D video player for polarized glasses

While the era of 3D televisions has largely transitioned into the niche of enthusiast home theaters and VR headsets, the quest for the perfect remains a key pursuit for those with legacy passive 3D hardware or specialized projection setups. Passive polarized technology—the same kind used in most modern movie theaters—relies on software that can correctly output "interlaced" or "row-interlace" signals to match the physical polarizing filters on a monitor or screen.

Software components of a 3D video player

  1. Right-click the screen -> Video -> 3D Video Output.
  2. Select Output Mode: "Polarization (Interlaced)" .
  3. Select Input Mode: "Side by Side" or "Top and Bottom" .
  4. Crucial step: Press Ctrl+Shift+M to manually adjust the interlace offset. (If the depth looks wrong, your eyes are getting swapped. PotPlayer lets you flip the left/right feed instantly).

Q: Can I use Google Cardboard glasses (polarized)?

A: No. Google Cardboard uses lenses, not polarization. You need a passive 3D monitor. 3d video player for polarized glasses link
