1. Identify the Source

Officially, only VMware ESXi 7.0+ with USB passthrough and latency sensitivity set to “high.” Oracle VirtualBox is not supported due to timing jitter in the Modbus stack.

  1. Use a shielded CAT6 cable for Ethernet connections or a Belden 3106A for serial.
  2. Set the DIP switch on the 7500 device to “Program” mode.
  3. Inside the software, go to Communication > Scan Network.
  4. If the device appears as “Unknown,” manually set baud rate to 115200 (default for v2.3).
