The COM C1 provides various interfaces, including:
- Solar Farm Monitoring: Using the RS-485 port to poll inverters via Modbus, then pushing data to an AWS IoT Core via MQTT. The C1’s low 6W draw allows solar powering.
- Packaging Line Upgrade: Using the 4 digital inputs to count bottle caps while the two outputs trigger a reject actuator. Simultaneously, the second Ethernet port streams OEE data to a SQL server.
- Remote Tank Level: Connecting an RS-232 level sensor and using the internal 4G USB dongle support (via the USB Host port) to transmit alerts.
