This paper examines HiWebXSeries.com as a representative case study. Through content analysis of its catalog, user interface, and community discourse, we identify key strategies: serialized micro-budget production, transgressive genre blending (horror, sci-fi, dark comedy), and a direct-to-fan distribution model. Findings indicate that HiWebXSeries.com survives through a hybrid ad-revenue and voluntary donation system, but faces challenges in discoverability, production consistency, and content moderation. The paper concludes that alt-web platforms fill a crucial gap in the media ecosystem by enabling risk-taking narratives often rejected by mainstream streaming services.
