- A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is a Bluetooth profile for streaming stereo audio from a source (phone, PC) to a sink (headphones, speakers).
- “A2DP driver” often refers to the Bluetooth audio stack components (OS Bluetooth service, codec implementations like SBC/AAC/aptX/LHDC, and the OS audio routing layer).
- Problems commonly manifest as: low-quality audio, mono output, stuttering, frequent disconnects, no A2DP option, or incorrect sample rates.
- If A2DP broke after a system update, consider rolling back to a previous system restore point or driver version as a controlled trial.
