Important Note on "Free" Versions

• Blender + add-ons — Blender can do bas-relief sculpting and, with plugins like Blender CAM, generate g-code.
• HeeksCAD/HeeksCNC — lightweight CAD/CAM for simple machining tasks.
• bCNC, PyCAM — focused on CAM/g-code generation for hobbyist routers.

1. Back up originals before attempting conversion.
2. Export to neutral formats if possible (DXF for vectors, STL for relief meshes).
3. Import into one of the alternatives above and test small projects first.
4. Recreate toolpaths in the target CAM to ensure compatibility with your CNC hardware.
