While current versions of Bandicam no longer support older operating systems, you can still use the software on Windows XP by installing a legacy version. Compatible Versions for Windows XP
- Set Priority: Above Normal (Do not set to High or the system may freeze).
- Pre-Allocation: 20GB (FAT32 drives on XP have a 4GB file limit; Bandicam auto-splits, but stick to NTFS drives to avoid corruption).
- Skip Recording: Check "Skip recording when frame drops exceed 5%" – this saves you from unplayable stutter videos.
