CloneDisk 1.9.6 is a versatile, lightweight utility often found in classic rescue toolsets like Hiren's BootCD 15.2
- No Resizing – Destination must be at least as large as the source’s used sectors (not just file size).
- Windows 7 Driver Signing – On x64 editions, you may need to disable driver signature enforcement temporarily (F8 during boot → Disable Driver Signature Enforcement).
- No Incremental Backups – Full clones only.
- Target Wiped – All existing data on the destination disk will be overwritten without warning.
Mind the Space:
Ensure your target disk is equal to or larger than your source disk. If you're moving to a larger drive, you may have unallocated space afterward that you'll need to extend in Windows Disk Management. clonedisk 1.9.6 windows 7

- Boot into Windows PE via USB, navigate to
X:\CloneDisk, and run clonedisk.exe /gui.
