In Commandos 2: Men of Courage , "putting together a piece" refers to collecting hidden throughout each mission. Each book contains a photo fragment; collecting every fragment in a mission completes a "puzzle" that unlocks a secret Bonus Mission .

Gameplay & Mechanics

A Diverse Roster: Six unique commandos – The Green Beret (Jack O’Hara), the Sniper (Francis T. Woolridge), the Diver (James "Fins" Blackwood), the Sapper (Thomas Hancock), the Spy (Rene Duchamp), and the Thief (Natasha). Each had specific skills, from throwing knives to using disguises.
Non-Linear Solutions: Every mission offered dozens of approaches. Sneak through vents, swim through sewers, steal uniforms, or cause a distraction with a stolen tank.
Interactive Environments: Unlike later games, Commandos 2 allowed you to enter buildings, climb poles, drive vehicles, and even use enemy weapons against them.
Isometric 2.5D Graphics: For 2001, the hand-painted backgrounds and detailed character sprites were breathtaking. The Pacific, Arctic, and European theaters all felt distinct.
