: Most KFX-ZIP files are protected by DRM. You must install the DeDRM plugin to allow Calibre to decrypt the files upon import. Acquiring the File :

• In Calibre, go to Preferences > Plugins.
• Search for "DeDRM". Double click it.
• Go to the "eInk Kindle" tab (even if you use an app).
• Click Add and enter your Kindle device’s serial number (found in your Amazon account under "Devices").
• Why? The KFX file is encoded to that specific device. Without the serial number, DeDRM cannot reverse the hash.
