The 2009 Korean drama My Fair Lady (also known as Take Care of the Young Lady Lady Castle

Han Ji-woo

is a brilliant but rough-mannered phonetics professor at a prestigious university in Seoul. He’s obsessed with accents, social class markers, and the power of speech. One rainy night, he meets Kang Soo-ji , a stubborn, sharp-tongued flower seller at Gwangjang Market who dreams of opening her own shop but is constantly dismissed because of her heavy satoori (regional dialect) and “low-class” image.

The chemistry between Yoon Eun-hye and Yoon Sang-hyun provides the series with its emotional anchor. Their dynamic is built on a "hate-to-love" progression that feels earned rather than forced. Furthermore, the high-fashion aesthetics and lavish set designs served as a visual feast for viewers, setting a high standard for the production value of romantic comedies in the late 2000s. The supporting performance by Jung Il-woo as the idealistic human rights lawyer adds a layer of conflict, creating a compelling love triangle that questions whether love is about shared status or shared understanding.
