ETS2 1.35 to 1.36 Patch: What’s New and Why You Should Update

The transition from version 1.35 to 1.36 marks one of the most significant technical shifts in the history of Euro Truck Simulator 2

  • New in 1.36: The cities of Frankfurt and Mannheim were completely rebuilt from scratch.
  • What changed: Realistic road layouts, modern signage, new company depots, and scenic bridges. The old, blocky 2012-era intersections are gone.
  • Comparison to 1.35: In 1.35, these cities still looked like placeholders. Now, they rival quality of the Scandinavia DLC.

Map and Asset Modernization

  • New tollgate models.
  • New highway intersection designs.
  • Updated vegetation and terrain textures to match the newer Scandinavia/Italy standards.

Updating is automatic on Steam unless you’ve pinned a beta version. ets2 135 to 136 patch new

Detours System
