5.2 Oscillation Risk
- USA (FCC Part 15): Intentional radiators must not exceed 1 Watt (30 dBm) conducted power. The hack allows up to 2 Watts.
- EU (ETSI EN 300 328): Strictly prohibits user modifications that increase power output.
- Amateur Radio Exception: If you hold a General Class license (US) or equivalent, you may operate at higher power on amateur bands (2.4 GHz falls under 13 cm band).
