What is Flipnote Studio?

Flipnote Studio allows users to create flipnote animations. These animations are saved on the console and can be shared. When sharing flipnotes, users could originally upload their creations to the Flipnote Hat, a bulletin board-like service where users could share and view flipnotes from around the world. However, the Flipnote Hat service was discontinued by Nintendo.
