Fortigate Vm License Trial Install Link

FortiOS 7.2.1 and later , FortiGate offers a permanent trial mode

  • Problem 3: Cannot access Web GUI after first boot

    1. Access the FortiGate GUI on port1’s IP (default: https://192.168.1.99). Login as admin (no password).
    2. You will see a red banner: “Invalid license. System will reboot in 24h.” Click Upload License.
    3. Browse to the trial.lic file and upload.
    4. FortiGate will validate, reboot automatically (or prompt to reboot).
    5. After reboot, login again. The banner should be gone. Run get system status – now shows License Status: Valid.

    Issue 4: Web GUI shows "Expired" even before 15 days
