Android 4.4.2 (KitKat)
Since is an older operating system, the current version of the Google Play Store will not work on it. Modern versions require newer Android system files that KitKat does not have.
- Custom ROMs: LineageOS 14.1 (Android 7.1) for some KitKat phones.
- Downgrade apps: Use APKMirror to find older APK versions of modern apps.
- Replace the device: A used Android 9 device costs very little and will run the latest Play Store.
Enable Unknown Sources:
Go to Settings > Security and toggle on Unknown Sources .

- Once the APK file is downloaded, open your file manager or explorer app.
- Navigate to the Downloads folder (or the folder where you saved the APK file).
- Tap on the Google Play Store APK file to start the installation process.
- If prompted, select Install to confirm.
- Wait for the installation to complete.
