HEC GeoRAS for ArcGIS 10.8 Report

1. Pre-processing: Extracting river geometry (centerline, banks, flow paths, cross-sections, and obstruction data) from a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and exporting it into a format compatible with HEC-RAS.
2. Post-processing: Importing HEC-RAS simulation results (water surface elevations, velocity grids, flood depth maps) back into ArcGIS to create flood inundation maps, hazard overlays, and regulatory exhibits.

Critical Note:

HEC-GeoRAS is not natively compatible with ArcGIS Pro’s new backend. While there are workarounds, the classic ArcGIS 10.8 remains the gold standard for GeoRAS workflows.
