Step 2: Prepare the Files

1. Insert the USB drive into the head unit’s USB port (not the standard car USB port—use the dedicated "USB 1" port coming from the back of the radio).
2. Go to Settings > System > System Update (or "Upgrade").
3. Select Local Update > USB.
4. Tap the update.zip file.
5. Confirm "Wipe data?" – Choose Yes (Dirty flashing without wipe causes crashes).
6. The unit will reboot to a Chinese or English recovery screen with a progress bar.
7. Do not turn off the ignition. Wait for "Install from USB complete."
