Text Insertion: The PSP’s architecture is finicky. Translators had to hack into the game’s binary files to replace Japanese Kanji with English alphabet characters without breaking the game’s font system.
Image Editing: Menu backdrops, loading screens, and arena posters all had embedded Japanese text that needed manual Photoshop editing.
Variable Width Fonts: English text takes up more space than Japanese. The team had to create a new font engine within the game to prevent text from spilling off-screen.
