Mamotreto of the Initiatory Catecheses
The (or Directorio Catequético del Camino Neocatecumenal, Vol. 1 ) is the foundational oral and written guideline used to conduct the first phase of the Neocatechumenal Way . Formally approved by the Holy See in 2012, this "mamotreto" (a colloquial Spanish term for a thick, bulky volume) contains the transcripts of the original teachings given by initiators Kiko Argüello and Carmen Hernández to catechist teams in Madrid in 1972.
