- Variable Height: The articulating arms allow for a surprising range of motion. Whether I was sitting on a low sofa or standing at a high-top bar table, I was able to position my laptop screen exactly at eye level. This alone justifies the purchase price for anyone suffering from back pain.
- The "Open" Design: Unlike a laptop riser that cradles the whole machine, this design clamps the bottom edge. This allows for maximum airflow. My MacBook Pro, which usually sounds like a jet engine during video renders, stayed significantly cooler because the bottom vents were completely exposed.
Portable isn't perfect. You lose deep OS integration (no right-click "Send to OneDrive" magic). You have to manually save sometimes. And if you lose the physical stick, you lose your world—so encryption is non-negotiable. portable4pc
