Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film features opulent costumes and palace settings, reflecting his signature style seen in classics like Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! . Prem Ratan Dhan Payo -2015-
- Salman Khan (Prem / Vijay): 2015 was a peak year for Salman. Coming off the success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, he delivered a restrained, gentle performance as Prem, while adopting a gruff demeanor for Vijay. The physical transformation between the two characters (including a slicked-back hairdo for Vijay versus a simple kurta for Prem) was technically impressive.
- Sonam Kapoor (Princess Maithili): As the pious and trapped princess, Sonam brought elegance. While her role was primarily decorative in the first half, she shines in the climax where she discovers the truth about the lookalike.
- Neil Nitin Mukesh (Ajay Singh): Playing the conflicted villain, Neil brought a Shakespearean depth to the step-brother. He wasn't purely evil but a product of neglect and greed.
- Anupam Kher & Swara Bhasker: As always, Anupam Kher (as the royal priest) provided the wisdom, while Swara Bhasker (as Princess Rajkumari) was the spunky, rebellious heart of the palace.
