Sandspiel 2 Portable -
Sandspiel 2
, often officially known and evolved as Sandspiel Studio , represents the next generation of falling-sand physics simulations. Developed by Max Bittker and Lu Wilson (TodePond) , it transforms the simple "particle painter" concept of the original 2018 title into a powerful, visually programmable sandbox.
You can dive into the simulation directly through your browser—no downloads required. Whether you want to build a sprawling fortress and melt it with lava or create a self-sustaining terrarium, the only limit is your curiosity. sandspiel 2

- Wall (Gray): Immovable. Immune to almost everything. Use this to build containers.
- Sand (Yellow/Orange): The staple. Falls down and piles up. It is heavy.
- Dirt: Similar to sand but can grow grass if exposed to air/water.
- Wood: Flammable. Does not fall unless the block supporting it is destroyed.
- Stone: Harder than dirt/sand. Often used for permanent terrain.
- No Save/Load of Animations: You can save the final particle state but not a video replay.
- Browser Dependent: Performance degrades on mobile or older CPUs (though it runs on most modern laptops).
- Steep Learning Curve for Custom Elements: The custom editor requires understanding of JSON-like reaction rules.
- No Mobile Touch Optimization: Works but interface is designed for mouse/keyboard.
- Cursor Shapes: You have a circle brush, a square brush, and a line tool. Changing the brush radius allows you to flood-fill or draw fine details.
