Step 5: Payment & Deposit
Pre-Authorization: The agent processes the credit card. SIHOT integrates with various payment gateways. The system tracks the difference between a "Pre-authorization" (holding funds) and an actual "Payment."
Posting Charges: If the guest wishes to pay for an upgrade or extra nights in cash immediately, the agent posts the charge directly to the folio before finalizing the check-in.
Credit Limit: SIHOT allows the hotel to set a credit limit for the guest folio; if exceeded during the stay, the system alerts housekeeping or management.
