- Install the correct USB driver for your portal (SkyReader usually includes a "Zadig" driver tool).
- Launch SkyReader. You should see "Portal connected."
- Place your Skylander on the portal. The software will likely play the in-game summoning sound.
- In SkyReader, click "Read from Portal."
- A hex view will populate. Scroll through – you will see your Nickname in plain text.
- Click "Save to BIN."
- Name it
Legendary_Jet_Vac.bin(or whatever). - Store this file on two separate hard drives and a cloud backup. Never lose this file if the toy is rare.
