  • Checksum Verification – Prevents mismatched firmware flashing.
  • Read Back: Dump any partition to a binary file (useful for backup or extracting nvram before messing with IMEI).
    • This often happens if the device has a Secure Boot (SLA) authentication. Newer Xiaomi/Realme MT6765 devices may require a specialized "Auth" version of SP Flash Tool where you need to log in with an authorized account. If this happens, look for "SP Flash Tool with Auth Bypass" specific to your brand.
    • Flash firmware on MTK-based devices
    • Update or downgrade device firmware
    • Fix bricked devices (in some cases)
    • Remove FRP (Factory Reset Protection) locks
  • Start and Connect Device:
    1. Turn OFF your phone completely. Do not connect it to the PC yet.
    2. In SP Flash Tool, click the large Download button (green arrow pointing down) at the top.
    3. The tool will now say "Searching..." or show a progress bar waiting for the device.
    4. Connect the phone to the PC using the USB cable.
