The official Termux development team ended support for older operating systems years ago. According to Wikipedia , support for Android 5.0 and 6.0 ended in January 2020, with currently being the minimum requirement for modern versions. Because Android 4 lacks modern libraries and security protocols, standard installation methods like the Google Play Store or the current F-Droid builds will not work.
