Unlike Bethesda games (Skyrim/Fallout), Total War games are notoriously fragile when it comes to mod conflicts. The game engine does not always handle merged data gracefully; often, the last mod to load overwrites the data of the previous mod entirely, rather than merging the two.
| Conflict type | Fix | |---------------|------| | Two mods change same character’s skills | Keep only one, or put your preferred one lower | | Unit cards missing / vanilla cards | Load unit reskin unit pack | | Crash on campaign start | Move the overhaul to the very top | | No retinue / general skills missing | Load skill-tree mods above unit mods |
