Unlocking Dong Zhuo in Total War: Three Kingdoms

  1. Start a new campaign as any faction (Liu Bei, Cao Cao, and Sun Jian are the easiest for this).
  2. Progress through the early turns until you encounter Dong Zhuo on the campaign map.
  3. In battle, ensure that Dong Zhuo’s bodyguard unit is completely wiped out and he is killed (not just routed).
  4. Finish the battle as a victory.

The Steps:

Unlocking him early lets you experience one of the most aggressive, high-damage factions in the game.
