Ajax, a mutant with the ability to accelerate cellular regeneration, captures Wade Wilson with the intention of experimenting on him. Driven by a sadistic desire to create a new breed of mutant, Ajax subjects Wade to a series of brutal physical and psychological tortures. The goal is to heal his disfigured body while also instilling a form of accelerated healing similar to Wolverine's.
