Keeping your system updated is about more than just new features; it is often a matter of security.
- Power down the SL1000 (unplug the power cord or turn off the circuit breaker). Wait 30 seconds.
- Insert the prepared USB drive into the CPU card’s USB port.
- Power up the SL1000.
- Watch the LED indicators. The “STATUS” or “RUN” LED will begin to blink rapidly. The system is reading the USB drive.
- After about 10–20 seconds, you will see a pattern. On some models, an LCD (if equipped) might show “FW UPDATE.” On others, the LEDs will flash in a specific sequence (check your model’s manual).
